Jan 20 – Join fellow coal supporters at the “Stand Up for Jobs” rally tomorrow (Thursday) at the University of Charleston (WV).  Supporters will gather at 5:30 p.m. outside the university’s Geary Auditorium before a debate on energy between Don Blankenship, CEO of Massey Energy, and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., one of the professional activists seeking to end Appalachian coal.  “Millions of Americans are without jobs in this country, and policies supported by politicians in D.C. and activists like Mr. Kennedy won’t make things better for families,” says Blankenship.  Among those expected to attend the rally are coal miners, restaurant owners, healthcare workers, equipment manufacturers and others who understand that coal provides economic prosperity and keeps our communities strong through good jobs and affordable electricity.  Read more in the Washington Examiner.
